ARTUR B. PETROSYAN
Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia
Date and Place of Birth
Was born on March 22nd of 1952 in Ani Region of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, in the family of a serviceman.
Education
1960-1970 studied and left the secondary school N83.
1970-1976 studied in and graduated from the Yerevan State Institute, Faculty of Mining and Smelting.
Work Experience
1976-1981 worked as the Head of the stone processing factory in Nurnus, then as a Head of mine and Head of production.
In 1981 joined the Ministry of International Affairs of the RA as an Operative Officer, then was appointed as a Senior Operative Officer, then as a Head of Division and finally as a Head of Department.
In 1992 was appointed as the Head of Operational Department of the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) adjunct to the Government of the RA.
In 1993 was appointed as the Deputy Head of the State Tax Inspectorate.
In 1995 was appointed as the First Deputy Head of the State Tax Inspectorate, Head of Operational Department.
Has the Title of Colonel of STI.
On 8 November, 1999 was appointed as an Advisor to the Chairman of the National Assembly of the RA.
In 2003 was elected as a Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
On 26 July, 2009 was appointed as the Head of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia.
On 29 January, 2010 was appointed as the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Is married, has two children
Party Affiliation
Since February 2009 is member of Party “Prosperous Armenia” (Bargavach Hayastan).
