In these days of the New Year, we, with the strength of tradition, summarize the sporting events of the past year in the past 2-3 weeks. The year that was full of victories, excitement, delight, and also with new hopes we will be able to achieve in 2018.

The results of this year's sporting event have been particularly highlighted for the first time that the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has assumed responsibility for setting up a game that would not only provide an acceptable, understandable and transparent process but also be based on best international practices and acceptable criteria.

We have complemented the principle of complementarity on the one hand by the high achievements of sports, on the other hand, the fact that Armenia has been promoting it. It was also the first time that we were involved in the decision-making process to include all the layers of the society who wanted to be participants in this process and make their voice heard.

Honorable Mr. President, I assure you that we have managed to secure fair competition results. I also assure that the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia will continue this course in the future, dynamically altering all the processes that are in the public eye and require special solutions and fixing new approaches. Taking the opportunity, on behalf of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the sport community, I would like to congratulate all the athletes and especially our ten best ones, thanks to which the name of Armenia becomes recognizable at different corners of the world.

I also congratulate all of us on New Year's Eve. Let the coming year be the year of hopes and dreams.
