For the first time Yerevan hosted the World Junior Tournament of Sports Dances

For the first time Yerevan hosted the World Junior Tournament of Sports Dances, which was attended by athletes from 35 countries. 

According to Gabriel Ghazaryan, First Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia who performs the duties of the minister, sport dances are developing in Armenia every year and this is an unprecedented priority. 

Participants competed in 4 age groups (juniors and up to 21 years old). Armenian champion Alexei Abramowskih-Sofia Melikyan has taken the 13th place among 43 dance couples at the age under 21 age group. Oleg Chzhan-Alina Agyeva, representing the Russian Federation, became the world champion in the same age group.
